Apprenticeships have been on the rise due to businesses and the government trying to fill the constant growing vacancy gap throughout the UK. ASSESSORS
An Assessor is a key figure in an individual achieving their desired vocational qualification, especially in apprenticeships. You conduct Assessments directly in the learner’s workplace or learning environment. With a recent industry shift towards remote Assessments through conference software such as Zoom.
Reviewing work-based evidence collected at the Assessment, you use your own occupational competence to assess when they are at a level to pass their course. Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), also known as Internal Verifier is a pivotal figure in operating a Training Provider. Found in two distinct flavours; IQA or the more prestigious and senior role, Lead IQA. They audit the Assessor’s assessment decisions for Quality, Consistency and Fairness.
Within the TAQA hierarchy pyramid, the Lead IQA stands above both the IQA’s and the Assessors.
