JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is for a Hairdressing & Barbering Assessor who will successfully deliver qualifications in Hairdressing and Barbering, ensuring robust ILP, adheres to the provider’s scheme of work and the Education inspection framework standards. Providing the required level of support for each Apprentice to enable timely successful completions.
You must ensure learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, either remotely or in the workplace on a 1:1 basis. This includes preparing learners for the end-point assessment (EPA) and set SMART targets to support them to achieve on time. It will be expected that you maintain regular contact with employers during the whole of the learning journey, keeping momentum and energy throughout the qualification.
Comply with and follow all processes within Safeguarding guidelines, ensuring the safety of all learners is paramount. Working to overcome any barriers to learning and adapting delivery to meet learner’s needs. Ensuring learner files are fully compliant and up to date whilst, being responsible for completing and maintaining appropriate internal and external quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Qualified Tutor / Assessor (any of the following (CAVA, A1, PTLLS, EAT, D32 etc)
- Relevant industry experience
- Previous delivery of framework and standards and supporting learners in the run up to the End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Up to date knowledge of all relevant changes within the Training & Education sector – funding / qualifications / eligibility
- Strong communicator, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills
