Construction Classroom Tutor
JOB DESCRIPTION
Looking to recruit a Construction Tutor to deliver classroom programmes in Manchester.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver engaging classroom-based training.
- Effectively engage learners with an in-depth and tailored training experience to support learners to prepare for employment or other progressions.
- Provide comprehensive support from enrolment to initial assessment through the delivery of individualised programme of learning, developing all aspects of an individual’s employability journey.
- Produce and review an effective ILP in conjunction with each learner and their individual support needs.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans as well as contribute to the ongoing development of new training materials and resources.
- Complete daily marking to provide detailed and focused feedback to the learner to support progression towards their individual goals.
- Work with the IAG & Referral Officer to offer learners the best possible progression route for further education or employment.
- Deliver appropriate IAG to support the learner with their overall end goal.
- Work towards agreed Awarding Bodies requirements for delivery and assessment.
- Include learning and teaching of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in line with the qualification they are completing, and company policy and procedures relating to equality and diversity.
- Include learning and teaching of Safeguarding and Prevent in line with the qualification they are completing and company policy and procedures relating to safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of the learner throughout their period of learning.
- Attend team, standardisation, and One to One meetings.
- Be available for OTL, IQA, EQA, and Ofsted visits as required.
- Complete CPD records appropriately and timely.
- Ensure the manager is notified of any learners at risk or any issues immediately and withdrawals are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Carry out all duties and work in accordance with the company quality improvement procedures.
- Play an active part in the promotion and awareness of Safeguarding learners across the business and externally as appropriate, and help prevent acts of radicalisation and extremism.
- Play an active part in the promotion and awareness of Equality & Diversity across the business and externally as appropriate.
- All staff should champion our values which include Integrity & Respect, Accountability, Transparency, Trust, Responsibility, Professionalism, Understanding, and Opportunity.
- To undertake any other duties (training offered where applicable) in line with business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in a teaching and learning environment – supported by a teaching qualification.
- Experience in the delivery and assessment of accredited qualifications in the field of Employability.
- Construction industry experience.
- ICT qualification would be desirable.

To be an Assessor you would need to hold either an; A1/2, D32/33, or CAVA which we have a link to HERE. Similarly so, to be a FE practitioner, in other words, a Trainer, you should hold at a minimum the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training).
