As a tutor you need to have organisational skills, as well as having the ability to plan your time effectively. You should be confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate learner’s. Be quality driven as well as being prepared to go the extra mile for your learner’s.
Be able to cover Peterborough and the surrounding areas, be flexible with travel.
Your duties for the job will include:
- Teach/assess learners in a classroom based environment, who are working towards Construction vocational training; as well as English, Maths, Digital and Personal Development skills.
- Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners skills knowledge and behaviours
- Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
- Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
- Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification: PTLLS/AET or above.
- Ideally hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
- Hold a Health and Safety qualification at Level 3 or above / CSCS.
- Must hold solid occupational experience within Construction.
- Must be IT Literate.
- Full, clean, UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Must be flexible with travel.
