JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Health and Social Care Assessor, you will assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care at Levels 2/3 or 5 (dependent on competency). You will also have to deliver training and support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.
Currently, it will be home-based remote online assessments initially due to Covid restrictions – Candidates must be flexible with travel as required when face-to-face visits are required across the area.
You should manage your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits (when restrictions are lifted) and reviews are conducted. Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress. Supporting, advising and motivating learners throughout the apprenticeship.
As a part of the role, you will help overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs. Whilst, meeting Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA – up to date assessing experience is not essential
- Hold occupational competency in Health and Social Care (Elderly) at Senior Carer level or above.
- Must have a good level of ICT skills
- Confident to deliver Maths and English Functional Skills – previous delivery experience of Functional Skills is not essential
- Happy to conduct online remote assessments – and face to face when required
- Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
- Must be flexible with travel
