JOB DESCRIPTION
London-based, as well as home and field-based, so some remote working is possible.
Your duties will include the following:
- Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships and Traineeships in IT Infrastructure Technician and IT Solutions.
- Mentor learners within their work placements.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely assessments and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners’ needs.
- Meet Assessor KPIs regarding timely assessments/visits (when allowed), quality paperwork and general administration.
- Work to learner review and completion timescales.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Must hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
- Experience in delivering full Apprenticeships in Information Communication Technician up to Level 3.
- Must hold solid, occupational competency in providing IT support through I.T networking/troubleshooting and roles such as IT Solutions Technician; Support Analyst; Systems Analyst; Service Desk or Technical Service Support etc.
- Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
- Flexibility is required with working hours and travel, as and when required to meet learners’ needs.

To be an Assessor you would need to hold either an; A1/2, D32/33, or CAVA which we have a link to HERE. Similarly so, to be a FE practitioner, in other words, a Trainer, you should hold at a minimum the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training).
