JOB DESCRIPTION
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineering Assessor Trainer to join our team based at our Crawley Campus. This role is offered on a variable hour, permanent basis and in return, we can offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.58 – £13.75.
The Chichester College Group is the largest provider of further education in Sussex and is comprised of 5 Colleges based at Chichester, Crawley, Worthing, Haywards Heath, and Brinsbury near Pulborough which is land-based. Through our colleges, we educate and train around 25,000 full and part-time students every year and provide teaching excellence to meet the future needs of the regions’ employers.
Support the learners’ development of vocational competence and wider skills. Training and/or assessing learners within the relevant vocational area. Applying relevant initial and diagnostic assessment to individualised training plans.
Agreeing a training programme of development and assessment in partnership with the employer. Assessing learners’ competence in relation to work-related/industry standards while providing work-based practice of the assessment instruments in the EPA where required.
Complete any relevant documentation in an accurate and organised manner. Meeting regularly with relevant curriculum and pastoral staff to ensure candidate progress is updated. Attend regular standardisation/team meetings, as required, meeting regularly with the Lead IQA to ensure learner progress is updated.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to drive between sites and employer premises
- Relevant and recent vocational experience in the relevant industry sector
- Experience of using a range of assessment techniques to prepare learners for timely End-point assessment
- Experience of interpreting, developing and delivering training sessions
- Experience in tracking, monitoring and reporting candidate progress
- Demonstrable experience of a candidate and employer centric approach to delivery
- Working knowledge of the relevant vocational area
- Up to date knowledge of the sector
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word
- Up to date knowledge of Prevent and Equality and Diversity
- Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
- Level 3 (or above for higher and degree apprenticeships) subject sector relevant qualification
- Level 3 Assessor Award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA)
- Level 3 Teaching Award in Education
- Coaching and/or Mentoring award
