JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) supporting the Fire and Rescue Service you will work primarily from home, but when students are in the Training Centre 2 or 3 times per week, you would have to go to Gloucester. However, can reside anywhere in the UK, as they will pay your mileage to go to the centre from home. Also, you can stay in the accommodation, very high standard with large rooms, Restaurant, Bar, Gym, Launderette etc.
Working for this forward-thinking training provider, who offers additional learning and fantastic promotional prospects you will manage a team of Freelance and Permanent Assessors. Ensure coursework is being assessed and is compliant with industry standards. Dealing with the team on a remote basis and one to one in the centre.
As mentioned, the role will mainly be home-based with some days in the centre when face to face training is happening. You will monitor the activities of the Assessors. Plan internal quality assurance activities to make sure meets the awarding/accreditation bodies standards. Support the Fire and Rescue Service to deliver consistently over the programmes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be either IQA or Assessor qualified
- Must have either experience in the following – either Assessing or IQA for the Fire Service or the Army or Navy for DFRP, or if not experience in IQA, then someone who has worked in the Fire Service or Navy or Amy in the past in any role, who has then gone into an Assessing or IQA role in other disciplines since
