JOB DESCRIPTION
The objective of this role is the delivery of the centre-based impact skills programme (ISP). Ensuring sessions continue to be high quality, engaging and dynamic; embedding knowledge, skills and behaviours of the apprenticeship standard we deliver.
The role includes:
- Face-to-face, centre-based delivery of the Core ISP units, with progression to higher level ISP units. Covering Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich and Peterborough centres. Occasional online delivery.
- Assessment of post workshop tasks submitted and feedback to apprentices.
- Development of the Core ISP units, through progressie course preparation and planning.
Major Internal Relationships
The ISP team is key to delivering high-qualty teaching to maintain our commitment to our students and clients. Strong internal relationships are key to ensure clients are receiving the service they need. In particular:
- within the ISP team and wider FI network to plan and prepare unit delivery, with Skills and Development Coaches to support and evidence development of apprentices on programme,
- alongside the Centre-based Accounting Tutor team, to link ISP sessions with knowledge areas from the apprenticeship standards,
- with the Programme Delivery Director to maintain a high quality of classroom delivery,
- with our Student Operations Support team to record attendance and monitor classroom facilities,
- updating the Client Relationship team to keep employers aware of apprentice engagement during sessions.
Key Tasks
The key tasks and responsibilities for this role are split into two main categories.
Delivery of Core ISP sessions
- Independently deliver Core ISP sessions in centre.
- Pre-course preparation, face-to-face content delivery and support of apprentices during the day’s session.
- Opportunity to support other delivery members of the ISP within the classroom for presentations, group work etc.
Assessment
- Setting post workshop tasks and completing the assessment of this work to provide feedback to apprentices and skills coaches.

PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE
When uploading this post we noticed a distinct lack of what we would consider required qualifications. To be a FE practitioner, in other words, a Trainer/Tutor, you should hold at a minimum the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training). The position does not ask for this so do not feel deterred to apply if you do not possess them. However, it is our professional opinion you need to have this qualification before applying.
